What is a well drink in a bar, and what the difference between unattached and triple wells?

This bar has drink specials, quarter wells and dollar triple wells, what is a well and what is the difference between single and triple. I am new to the bar scene.

well bottle is the cheap stuff ( 5 O'clock Vodka). It is the stuff likely to get you sick. A double is average a double shot of liquor and a triple is usually a triple shot of liquor. A drink usually has one fling of liquor and the rest is mix. As an experienced drinker I never drink well liquor and pay the extra for the top shelf stuff. I advocate this to all other bar patrons as well.

well is the cheapest liquor offered. it is what they use if you dont specify any actual brand name, it saves the rest. or bar notes. A dollar triple well would mean you pay one dollar for three times as much liquor as a usual serving drink.

If you say "Rye and ginger" you'll get whatever's on vending.that's a well drink If you say "Seagram's and ginger" then you'll get Seagrams.

A well drink is made from juice/pop & alcohol that comes from a bag that is usually a no name type type that is dispensed through a tap with a head on it that looks a bit like a gun(that's why they say it is "off the gun") They press a button on this "gun" depending on what type of alcohol was requested and a pre considered constant amount will come out every time. The quarter well and dollar tripple well just signifies how many times they hit the button to secretion the pre measured amount of alcohaul.
